Creating your own courses with Archy Learning is a quick, intuitive process. We’ve outlined the steps to course creation below:
- Setting up your course information
One of the first steps in the course creation process is giving your course some basic information. This info will not only cover your course name but also how it will appear in the student library.
Setting your course under the correct, most relevant category is an important step as your potential students will be able to find your course if it’s allocated to the correct category. Fill in each field on this page, upload an image and click continue. You can always return to this page to make changes or updates. - Your course curriculum
Next up is all about your course content and how you want to deliver it. Archy’s curriculum builder is simple, yet powerful to use. Courses are broken down into Classes and lessons. Lessons can also be swapped out as quizzes, exams or a video game. You can choose either of these options by clicking the orange plus button on the right hand side:
Each class can contain as many lessons as you need, however we recommend breaking down your course into multiple classes so your students can progress through bite size chunks.
Once you have your curriculum laid out, it’s time to add your class lessons in. Archy’s lesson modules provide you with 5 lesson blocks: Image, video, text, HTML field, and file submission.
Simply click on the unit block you’d like to use and Archy will populate your lesson. Once you’ve filled out your lesson blocks, you can move them around by clicking and dragging each unit with the grip in the top left of each lesson block.
- Pricing your course
Once your course is created and you’re ready to get it out into the world, you’ll want to set up the pricing for your course. Archy gives you three pricing options: Free, One-time Price, and Subscription pricing. To begin accepting payments however, you’ll need to make sure your Archy account is connected to your payment processor like Stripe. You can see more about how to do this here. - Your course pages
Once your pricing is completed, you can then move onto your course pages. By default Archy provided two pages for you to edit: a sales page and a thank you page. Both of these pages are fully customizable, however if you want to keep the default theme, you’re welcome to.You can edit your course pages by clicking on the three dots on the right hand side and selecting “edit page”.
- Course settings
As a final step, your course has multiple settings to help you deliver it perfectly. In this setting you can control whether or not you want comments enabled, how you want your course published, privately or to the Open Student Library, and finally if you have an Accredible certificate to integrate into the course, this is the place to connect it.
